If the secular left were as concerned about a politician’s basic math skills as they are his or her views on evolution and global warming, our government might not currently be facing this massive budget busting debt.

Friday Fun-ness

August 5, 2011

Okay, I realize that in the end this isn’t so fun; especially given yesterday’s disastrous events. But the very fine political blog Powerline (Minnesota boys, of course) had a contest for $100,000 dollars to the individual or group that could produce a creative piece that would best explain in ordinary terms the current economic crisis – and this video is the winner of the prize. Personally I am not sure it is the best of the lot, but I think it does a very straight-forward job of explaining how we got into the economic mess we are in for persons who might otherwise not follow a discussion on economic policy.
